Puberty has come and gone, but why are your acnes still there? If you’re over the age of 25 and you still have pimples, zits, blackheads, and others, then don’t blame puberty for it anymore. Getting rid of your acnes isn’t as simple as seems. You might want to prevent it first, which will require full commitment on your part.
Get a healthy lifestyle. And by healthy I mean eat, drink, breathe, and live healthy. You have to clear out all the toxicities to clear your acne. Better watch your diet as well. As much as possible, eat less fatty foods and avoid drinking too much alcoholic and caffeinated drinks. Drinking water, lots of it, works wonders also. It gets rid of oil, waste, and toxins from your body. It will also moisturize your skin, keeping your pores from clogging. There is also the subject of exercising regularly, avoiding stress, quitting smoking, and applying proper hygiene.
But what if you already have acne? You can prevent acnes from occurring, but for those who have already invaded your face and body, there are still things that you can do.
You can try topical creams and gels, but they only eliminate the problem briefly. Not that they’re inefficient, in fact, most acne dries out fast with over-the-counter products. Medicines that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid may be used in mild to moderate types of acne. You can also hear other people swearing by natural remedies. Honey, oatmeal, ginger, and even ice are said to heal acnes.
However, if you have acute acne case, topical products are not enough.
Severe acne cases should be treated internally. As topical creams or gels can’t kill the root of the problem. Oral antibiotics may help those who suffer from acute acne problems. But oral medicines, such as those containing erythromycin or any of the tetracycline antibiotics, may have side effects. Consult a skin doctor before taking any oral medicines.
For some ladies, acnes are a monthly thing. Everytime their menstrual cycle is about to start, women’s hormonal level fluctuates, causing oil secretion of the glands. There are those who find taking oral contraceptives helpful in eliminating their acnes.
There are no accurate ways to clear out acnes. While some cures work for others, there are those who find them a waste of time and money. Your safest bet is to lead a healthy lifestyle. Although it’s not a full guarantee that you will not have a single acne on your face again, it will help lessen the problem.
